My First Botox Experience
- I LOVE IT!
I went to my beautiful,
Russian collagen nurse, Irene
Komsky in Lafayette, California, to get Botox for the first
time. I had heard nothing but raves reviews by my good friend Francesca.
Yippee!! It was my turn! I wanted a little collagen as well over my
already existing Gore-Tex and Perlane inflated lips for a special event
for the site (Boobapalooza Viva Las
Vegas).
I wanted the glabella area
(between my brows) injected since I started noticing a faint line forming
when I frowned, was in the sun or yelled at my boyfriend, Marc. I
simply could not have that! I want to still look good and be able to
yell at the same time for goodness' sake! So away we went!

Irene
thought perhaps we should start off with 20 units for this particular
area. My treatment consisted of 5 injections. It
actually hurt more than I thought it would. I has just
gotten 1 cc of collagen in my lips so I thought for sure Botox
would be easier since the needle is so tiny.

| It actually hurt a
little bit more than the collagen. But not as much as the Perlane
I had gotten the week before. In my opinion, Botox
injections feels more like applied pressure, like someone stepping
on your forehead when it gets injected. But under the skin,
it is hard to explain. |

I had been told by other
patients to be prepared for little tiny popping noises. I
never heard one sound at all. Irene was quiet gentle and her
voice very calming. It seemed to be over before I know it! |
Irene told me not to lie down
or bed over for at least 3 - 4 hours and to refrain from exercising for
this period as well. I told her I had to do Tae Bo that night so she
said make sure I wait at least 3 hours. She also told me that I may
not see the effects until 2 to 3 days from now. I had heard this
very same thing on the YTF! message board. I went away with barely any
noticeable pin pricks.

Days Later! It Works! I LOVE It!
We were leaving for Vegas in less than a day. I was so
happy with the Botox, it was SO WEIRD! I mean I was for sure trying to
make the facial expressions -- on purpose. But it wasn't happening.
I could feel myself doing it but visibly, nada. It was too
cool. Now I could yell all I wanted and be wrinkle free! Now,
I know why this stuff is all the rage! Marc
kept laughing when he told me to try and frown -- he could see the rest of
my face move somewhat but my glabella was out of action!
Botox:
Don't Leave Home With Out It!
A couple of days later in Vegas - Botox prevailed. The
reason I say this is because we left Las Vegas on probably THE sunniest
and hottest day of the year. I had lost my sunglass. For many
hours I was on the Interstate driving in the car squinting just so that I
could see. Lo and behold I look in the passenger side mirror
and not ONE line could be seen. I was squinting my eyebrows off, too!
