WGRD FM New Rock, or GRD for short, has a morning show called the S&M (Stephanie and Michael) Morning Show that is on from 6 AM to 10 AM on the weekdays.  It is an alternative rock station which plays music from bands such as Linkin Park, Trapt and Staind.  One of the producers emailed and mentioned that Michael had been surfing and came across YTF and thought it would be interesting to chat about it for a second.  So they had me call in on Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 4:30 AM my time (Pacific) to discuss a little PS.

I called in and was expecting an operator but Stephanie and Michael answered the phone together!  We were immediately recording during a commercial.  I have to admit I was nervous but it all happened so fast the words kind of all rolled out nonstop.  I think I had horrible visions beforehand of a Howard Stern-like show and was fearing anything such as that.  But not to worry, they were very nice!  They have such great voices, too.  I think you have to be born with a radio voice.  I am not even comfortable recording an outgoing message on my voicemail. lol!  Seriously.

We just talked about what I had done, also out of all the procedures, in general, which had the most potential to go wrong (I thought in terms of functional or aesthetic complications and not the big ones like EEEK d-e-a-t-h from thromboembolism, anesthesia, etc.).  I said that pretty much all have potential to "go wrong" per se, but in my opinion more delicate surgeries such as blepharoplasty (although I said eyelid surgery) and face lifts have the potential to "go wrong" I guess I believe that having interacted with everyone from our boards for so long and hearing of stories from other message boards has convinced me of the above. Granted, rhinoplasty and lipo can have aesthetic issues but facelifts and blephs, to me, can have some functional issues that can't be ignored.  I guess I should have said laser but since there are less ablative lasers out now I don't find that to be the case so much as it once was, do you? I mean yes, it IS an issue that is still present, but time has taught and better machines are out there.

Also they did ask if fixing one thing makes you more self conscious about your body, I have to say that yes, it definitely can.  Not for everyone, but it can.  It is like fixing one thing and the thing next to it doesn't look so hot in comparison anymore... next!

Anyway, we discussed what gynecomastia and otoplasty were and Michael commented about Prince Charles' ears.  He also said that he will never take a breast in vain again, lol, after reading about complications that can happen.  I did say that yes, complications can happen with anything.  Thank goodness they didn't ask me about my bra size!  Michael did thank me for the photo gallery.  I said thanks and laughed nervously.

That was about it and they mentioned the site and said anything that ends in "plasty" can be found on the site and then some, lol.

All in all, I felt like I couldn't catch my breath the whole time.  Like I had run up the stairs 50 times before I called. Well, it went well while I was present, don't know what they said exactly after I was gone.  Let's hope it was all good.
