Default Please critique my face.

Hi everyone. I'm new here.
For a long time something was bothering me regarding my facial appearance. Not that I think I'm horrific, but just something is "off" and out of balance with the rest of my face. My chin has a structure to it, but its just small and recessed, IMO. I also hate the sharp divot between my lower lip and chin.

I've included a side shot. Do you think I might benefit from a chin augmentation? I drew a line in a similar pic from the tip of my nose down and my chin seems WAY off and set far back, not even close to the line. I don't like the idea of chin implants, so I'm thinking a sliding genioplasty might solve the issue. I'd like to stay away from fillers in this area because I don't want to lose the chiseled look. I just would like it projected more.

Thanks in advance...

Default I think no one is answering because

You are very beautiful. I don't think you need anything. Women can "get away with" having a smaller chin, women ideally can have a chin that is slightly less than the forehead/glabella area.

If you post a front photo and a better side photo and even an oblique it may be easier to get suggestions. I think you look beautiful in this pic though.

Default BTW your chin is not supposed to line up with your nose

It is supposed to line up around where your glabella is:

Default golden proportion

As a man with aesthetics education -since childhood had prizes in drawing etc, I want to tell you how beautiful you look to me. I analyzed your profile with Golden Proportion http://www.atrise.com/golden-section/ and I totally agree with Marianne that "you donīt need anything". If you augment your chin profile you woud tend to a masculine looks. Your chiseled profile is perfectly compensated: sometime mother nature is the best sculptor and I think it made a splendid job with you, so leave it as it is. As far as the profile pic you shared it is just fine, and the divot you critique is a sexy feature. This curve adds protuberance to your chin already.
I could analyze more if you add more pics from the front, Lynn.

Well, thank you everyone! Part of the conflicting views I have stem from. the conflicting views of a facial implant surgeon in VA and my dentist. One thinks I would benefit from a slight vertical lengthening only and the other believes my chin protrudes a tad too much, especially when I smile.

I noticed there are pictures floating around of Ms. Jolie before and after her chin surgery and she had a very similar chin to mine (weaker with a deep mentolabia groove) before her stronger and smoother profile. I tend to like the look of stronger chins on women, as long as it doesnt look as if they've been taking anabolic steroids.

I'll try to upload more pics soon.
