Compression garment and itchiness

i had tumescent lipo on my flanks almost 2 weeks ago i wear the compression garment 24/7 and will for a month or more. i keep it as tight as i can. but, i am so itchy on my lower back. will i get a better results by keeping it so tight? my doc says i won't see full results for months until the swelling goes down. i am still quite numb. but the ggod news is that i now have a waist instead of that menopausal spread.
