Thumbs up Botox Zombies

I was laughing at the whole Botox Zombies thing when I watched it, OMG, I didn't know about that until yesterday. And the repeat shots of me looking in the mirror, I do NOT do this on a daily basis, just when trying to explain to the reporter what I wanted treated. hehe I look obsessive, I swear to you I am not. Today I was walking around the dropzone before a skydive with barely any make up on, barefoot, and my hair in a ponytail

Anyway, I know people are going to think I don't need Botox but the reason I DON'T have permanent (static) wrinkles, is because I have been getting Botox for 8 years. Had I not been doing this I would have surely had static wrinkles by now.

I wound up getting the lines treated as I wanted in the end so it is smooth now It was against her advice but I wanted it that way. But she did it very well and did not affect my brows negatively AT ALL. NO weird pulling, no weird drooping, no odd "compensation wrinkles". They just move normally but I have no wrinkles. Crow's feet are still there though.

Anyway, here is the link: http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/news/inve...mbies-20100714 I hope I came across well??

Just blogged about my thoughts on it as well http://yestheyrefake.wordpress.com/2...-santa-monica/

Default Or here is the blog so you don't have to go to the other site

I had Botox with Dr. Cynthia Boxrud in Santa Monica on my glabella (frown line between the brows), my forehead and interestingly near the jawline to relax the plastysma (musce of the neck that connects to the jawline) and also on the horizontal lines on the neck. The latter two were new areas for me to get treated but she suggested that I do, so I did, hehe. I will see if it makes a difference.

Anyway, we filmed with KTTV Fox 11 News in Los Angeles regarding the recent study led by Judith Grub in Holland. Dr Grub advised that her findings suggest that those who get Botox and are unable to make facial expressions associated with certain emotions held on to their anger and sadness longer than those who could facially express their feelings. Although as far as I know the study, which included 30 subjects, were not Botox users and rather were asked to voluntarily and consciously suppressed their facial expressions when faced with upsetting images. The study findings are said to suggest that if one is unable to make a facial expression, there is no feedback loop to the brain thereby suppressing the ability to feel as intensely or deal with one’s emotions sufficiently.

My personal experience, after 8 years of Botox use, is that I do not notice a change in my emotional state regardless if I am due for another injection or not. I am not depressed or sad or a "Zombie" by any means. In fact, I suppose I feel less happy when I can see wrinkles on my face, therefore I feel that Botox enhances my general mood. I would like to add that I am not on any type of mood stabilizing medication and feel the full force of any emotion I experience whether it be happiness, sadness, anger, etc. I am a very passionate, expressive person and engage in many sports that most people would never dream to think of. I feel the intensity of my emotions and life in every sense of the word. I am not prone to depression in any regard and again feel that Botox does not cause depression (or lack of empathy) in me personally.

I do want to add that the subjects which supressed their facial expressions were said to feel that the world was a worse place than those who did not. I must admit that I am a realist and do not see the world through rose colored glasses and take it for what it is. This has always been the case, even before I even thought about anything cosmetic. In other words just because someone doesn’t get Botox, doesn’t mean they should walk around singing zippety doo da while the rest of us Botox users tend to be the Eeyores and Grumpy Smurfs of the world We are normal people, for the most part

I’d like to conclude with the fact that depression is without a doubt a very real affliction as is every day sadness. I believe that you should do what you can to make yourself feel better and if that means getting your wrinkles ‘toxed or painting in oils outside on a summer day, do it! Life is too short

If you want to read more about Dr Boxrud, her website is http://www.drboxrud.com/ She has a wonderful bedside manner and believes in giving her patients natural Botox results! So check her out and check out the program tonight at 10 PM on KTTV Fox 11 News in LA!

They were so busy I coudn't get in to see Dr Hoenig last week and this week he is out of town, I want to get my lips and n/l's done and discuss my undereyes (slight skin removal Dr Hoenig had mentioned to me).

Tell her I said hi Let me know how it goes, which areas are you treating? How have you been anyway?

And THANK YOU, Mark! I appreciate your compliments. I really do!

Default You look gorgeous as usual

You didn't come across as obsessive. It looked like they looped the same shot several times.

How did the neck botox work for you?

It's great they gave yestheyrefake.net some love!

Cool -- I'll set my DVR to record tonight. Is the platysmal Botox working? How many units did you get in the neck? I wonder if it would work for me -- Botox does not work in the areas I've had it in before, but I've never had it for the platysmal bands, and I really need to do something for those stupid bands -- it's all I see when I look in the mirror these days.

Thank you, Sharon Yes, they used the footage of me looking in the mirror part a lot.

I still have the lines but I think those lines are normal, babies have that. Do you have two horizontal lines on your neck? I should post a pic of what I mean.

Yes, I am glad that they linked the site The traffic went up from 6000 unique a day to 14,000, yesterday it was around 12,000. How cool is that?

Default Platysma bands

I don't have the bands yet but she gave it to me for the horizontal lines which Ididn't think Botox could affect??

I will find out how many units

She said that Botox in the platysma does help when you have bands, Let me know how it works for you if you get it

Default NO filler in my mid cheeks

I had Radiesse put up the upper outers a while back, but I think I need more. You don't think my mid cheeks are too full? I feel like in the news clip my nasolabials were apparent when I smiled because my mid cheeks seem full. I didn't like it lol I know Dr Hoenig wanted to inject Resty in my buccal area at one point but both Danya and I were like No! we like the angular look hehe

Thank you!
